Boomers, let’s change the stats….

We boomers have created some sad statistics; we have divorced at the drop of a hat, sacrificed family for job, protested the very America that gave us the freedom to protest and decided aging and traditions ugly and erasable.  All done while having the opportunity by sheer numbers to affect an entire nation and world for the better.  That is the broad stroke of where we have been as a demographic. Now is the time to step up and provide substantive, not “look at me doing good” mentoring that targets high schoolers to each ones’ StrengthBank® – where each teen finds a positive focus for each one’s ‘bank of strengths.’ When you see a young person’s face change the first time a mentor states this truth, your heart will be changed forever.” – Sandra Shelton speaking to Tarrant County Business Breakfast, March 2008, Fort Worth, Texas
