We have far too many tragedies and they are coming faster now. What inspires me is that our first response as a nation is a bowed head! (more…)

Do you remember what I remember?

Filed under: Boomerang Good™,Patriotism — Sandra Shelton @ 4:09 PM

Sometimes I think this country has such a short memory that we will end up back where we started, that is, a people struggling to be free from tyrannical rule. As this memorial day dawns, I remember… Hope is remembering great people by loving and telling our young about their legacy of thought, word, and deed. The top of the list for me is my dad who served in the US Navy in WWII. Lord, let me leave a legacy such as his: traditional America values, a family man, love of Jesus, and courage to speak out and tell the truth.
Legacy applies to all great heroes of the past and today’s heroes with the top of that list being our brave soldiers born in the USA! We rarely see the masterful things they do but we certainly get alot of media attention on their “job” – fighting evil, the force that seeks to kill and destroy and must be vigilantly sought, killed, and destroyed. I honor their legacy with prayer and sending often many emails, pictures, and movie clips displaying the good they are doing.

Freedom has been bought by the lives lost; we must remember. I remember and take solace and joy for the memorial days, events, and monuments our nation sets aside for us to continue remembering their legacy. We need to remember! Freedom is not a free ride; it does not mean that we allow non-freedom lovers to illegally break-in to our country or manipulate our court system! We are a comapssionate people but not doormats for evil; we need to remember the difference.

Remember, today is creating the legacy for tomorrow.
