A seminar participant came up to me at the mid-morning break and declared that he agreed with me that everyone should have a passion about work, but he had 4 kids under the age of 12 and he would do what he loved to do (sell real estate) when he “retired” from this governmental job with the great benefits. He said with pride that he dabbled in real estate on his off hours; therefore, he was not totally without the joy of doing what he loved to do. He has a friend who pays him $1000 for every client he refers that buys or sells a house. Since he is “good at real estate” he sends his friend about 3 to 4 leads a month!
